Course Content

This class is called the Two Day Barista Course, which combines our espresso introductory course and espresso foundations course, but is also internationally accredited by the Specialty Coffee Association and means after successful completion you will receive the very coveted Barista Foundation Certificate.

And once again we’d like to congratulate you for taking your first step to become an SCA certified barista. 

The structure for this course is broken up into 5 sections;

Part A: ONLINE ORIENTATION

  • Theoretical preparation - to complete anytime you choose before day two starts (Approx. 1hr)

Part B: DAY ONE

  • Practical - Espresso Introduction (Approx. 5 hrs)

  • Homework - to complete anytime before day two begins (Approx. 20 mins)

Part C: DAY TWO

  • Practical - Espresso Foundations (Approx. 5 hrs)

Part D: ONLINE STUDY

  • Theoretical comprehension - to complete before taking the written exam (Approx. 1hr)

Part E: WRITTEN EXAM

  • Online Exam - to be completed within 21 days of completing the day two

Due to the volume of knowledge we’re going to be sharing with you we recommend that you watch the videos as well as read the text to ensure you are fully absorbing the content (but of course if you’re short on time you can choose to just watch the videos, OR read the text). 

Taking notes on easily forgettable and specific information is also highly encouraged!
